You may have a special event planned for a weekend and you'd want to either schedule matches at specific times or simply allow members to book courts differently. You'd generally want to set this up well in advance so that members do not get an opportunity to book courts over that week end using the usual schedule. This can all be achieved with Manage courts.
First, select the court schedule tab and create a new court for each court where you intend to be able to book using a different schedule. Then modify the slot times for the new courts you set up.
In order to make this new schedule visible for members, go to the views tab and select the view that shows the usual schedule. Enter a new date beginning on the Saturday of your target weekend and select your new courts for view. Enter a second date (On the following Monday) and reselect the original, normal courts schedules.
Remember that members have rights to book courts based on their membership category or other products they have bought. Generally, when you add a new court, they will not be able to book on those courts. This may well be the desired effect in this example. Typically, a special schedule would be for the purposes of a specific event. If this is the case, you will want to set up a court set (in the Court sets tab reflecting the use of your new court schedules) and assign it to the relevant event in the Events tab in Manage clubs. That way, your new court schedule can be used to book matches for the event.
Another caveat is that there may be courts already booked out on the old schedule for that week-end. The question is then how can you prevent double booking because your new and old schedule refer to the same physical court/space? That's where spaces come in. Go to the Spaces tab and create a new space that represents the physical court and then assign both your old and new schedules into this space. By doing this you can guarantee that no overlapping bookings are possible; A booking in one will automatically book out any overlapping slots in the other.
