Yes. There may be circumstances where you'd like certain members to receive a partial refund on their membership. Or even to charge them. For example, if the club has had to be shut for an appreciable time, then you may want members to be recompensed.
You can do this from the bulk operations tab in Manage members. One of the panels is entitled Membership category fee adjustment. In there you can choose Charge or Refund, a membership category, the amount and enter an accompanying memo. You are limited to an adjustment of less than £100
When you click the Adjust button, the system will adjust all members that are current holders of the category you chose by the amount chosen. From an accounting perspective, the amount is recorded as a payment of refund against the membership product.
For a charge, the member may not have enough funds to cover. This does not stop the charge from being applied. The member will be warned in the usual way that they have an overdue payment and that they will be required to top up. If they have auto top up selected, then this will happen automatically.
Once a category is selected the number of members affected is indicated. If you wish to get a preview of who these are, your best option is to filter the membership list (in the Members tab of Manage members).
