Overview
A club night event is for regular (typically weekly or monthly) get togethers where any member is encouraged to attend to play each other in an unstructured environment. Generally, the club has most, if not all, courts booked out for at least a couple of hours and there is a small fee levied for each attendance.
This regular event is different from regular group sessions (like coaching) primarily because it's something the club wants all members to be aware of every time. Group sessions, on the other hand, tend to be of interest only to those in the group - to which you'd either be invited into or specifically join.
There may, however, be different flavours that run concurrently - e.g. A Ladies club night, or a Beginners club night so this event may need setting up more than just once. Set up is a one-off Next-gen task that should not require ongoing management. Being unstructured, there is no organisational task required for each session.
Setting up
Normally done by the club:
- Menu Option New Next-gen event
- Filter on club, sport and name "Club night"
- Click on relevant entry and complete the form which establishes when it occurs and what courts are to be booked
Having done so, the club night event will be booked and scheduled automatically for all forward dates starting just beyond the member booking horizon. If a club night is planned earlier than this then that event will need to be manually created in Manage events.
