Each team accrues points from the points awarded for each fixture match and the standings are then ranked from most points accrued to least. However, it is quite possible, throughout the period of play as well as at the conclusion of the event, for two or more teams to have the same number of points. In such a case, the following considerations are made in order to determine which of these teams are ranked higher or lower (where each consideration is applied should the previous one result in a draw):
- Teams with more fixture matches won will be ranked higher
- Teams where the difference of all individual games won and all individual games lost is highest
- Teams where all individual games won is highest
- Teams where total individual points won is highest
If all the above are still equal then the fixture is considered a draw.
In terms of how points are awarded for each fixture, this is configurable for the event but would typically be the number of games won by the the squad. On top of that, the winner of the match (i.e. the team that won the most individual matches) is awarded a winners bonus. Where the line-up is 4 or 5 individual matches the bonus points awarded is typically 4.
If an even number of individual matches were played, it could be that the match is a draw. In this case the bonus points are awarded to the side that won the most individual points.
