It is often the case that a group of members band together for regular sessions amongst themselves. Such a group needs to communicate with each other to decide on times of play, who's turning up and managing an equitable contribution to court fees.
ManageMyMatch can facilitate all this by using its team management capabilities. First the group needs to be set up as a team event by an event manager/event administrator.
Once this is done the club's team manager can create the team in the Teams tab of Manage clubs. The group in question will need to provide both a name for their "mini club" and the individual who will take on the role of team captain.
If the club wishes to restrict booking rights (or permit a different pricing policy) then the bookings manager would need to set this up in the Events tab of Manage clubs. He may also nominate others apart from the team/group captain who may book courts on their behalf.
The team captain will be able to block book court in My bookings.
The event should immediately be set into the "in-play" stage by the event administrator (this could be the same person as the team captain as above). The team captain may then add in everyone who want to be part of the group as a team member in My teams. This will confer a number of benefits:
- Members may pay into the team account
- Members have a "group chat" message forum for communications
- Members may control the lights at the kiosk if they require confirmation (e.g. tennis lights)
- Members will never be directly charged for court bookings
Booking fees will be taken from the team account and so all the captain needs to do is co-ordinate contributions from team members so that the account can service these payments (the captain will get a warning if a payment fails for lack of funds)
