Introduction
If you are a team captain, you should be able to choose your team under this season's county league event your your Teams main menu option. If not, contact your club captain and they will be able to set you up with your team.
As a team captain, you'll be able to set various details about your team. We recommend browsing other articles in this section for further details.
Build your squad
Before the season starts we recommend that you set up your squad under the Squad tab. Your squad members must have signed up to MMM and linked up with your club (and will likely need to be club members) before your can choose them. You'll find that players listed in your squad can be messaged or phoned and you'll see some personal details like age & sex as well as any critical medical information.
You can also nominate one or more deputies - only do this as necessary because it empowers them to do everything you can do and makes their choices more involved. You'll find a teachers hat button next to each squad member's entry that you can click on or off to set deputy status.
You can also order your squad to reflect the likely line-up for each match. When you set the line-up for each match, you'll find you can select the players and change the order as necessary each time. Your squad members will also be able to nominate themselves for availability for each fixture as well.
Set scheduling criteria
Before the league organiser sets the fixture schedules, you may be given the opportunity to set certain team-specific criteria to which the scheduling would adhere. You do so under the Schedule tab.
- In the header of the top, left panel you'll see a calendar icon. Click that and you'll get a popup window with a calendar that will allow you to elect any dates that you know team will not be able to play. The league organiser will ensure dates that everyone wants to avoid will not be scheduled (like bank holidays or school half term etc), so only add dates that are "personal" to your team - both home and away fixtures will then not be scheduled on the dates you mark off.
- In the body of this panel you may also be able to specify the week-day on which your home matches are to be played. The league organiser may well have already set this and they may have prevented you from changing this.
- You can also modify the standard expected start time and court hours needed for a match. This is used by the automated booking process, though your club captain may have already indicated a precise set of court slots to use
Once you are happy with your criteria you must Confirm it. This helps the organiser know you are ready for them to schedule the fixtures.
Rescheduling your match fixtures
Once the league organiser has scheduled your fixtures, you can review this and, if necessary, re-organise any fixture date. Follow this guide on how to reschedule fixture dates (all done under the Schedule tab). This can be done at any point during the season as well.
Booking your fixtures
This only applies if your club uses MMM for their booking system. Generally, the fixture booking process is completely automated and overseen by your club captain. But you may be empowered to book your own team's home matches. The second, right hand panel under the Schedule tab presents the status of your fixture scheduling and bookings. You may find that you can click a Book button to initiate the automated booking process, or even to cancel your bookings that have already been made.
Review your fixtures
Once the league organiser has confirmed the schedule, you'll be able to review the complete chronological fixture list (home and away) under the Fixtures tab. There you'll see clearly which are home matches and which ones are booked (at least of those that could be booked). You can also message the captain of your opposing team. For fixtures that have already been played, you'll see the individual match scores and the overall score.
