A user can gain access through the club's ManageMyMatch controlled security doors only if they are in possession of a key fob that has been specifically enabled by or at the club. Despite the fact that the same key fob can be conveniently used at more than one club, this statement is still true.
A key fob is enabled for the club in two ways:
- The user activates their key fob by presenting it at the clubs kiosk screen. This method is the usual method to enable the key fob and requires the user to have been given access into the club by other means and to have linked to the club with ManageMyMatch.
- The club membership secretary enters in the key fob code into the members details panel.
Even at this point the user will not necessarily be granted access to the club. In addition to this the user will only be granted access to the club under two circumstances:
- If the user is a paid-up member of the club (see below)
- If the time coincides with a booking the user may have on one of the club courts (+/- one hour)
There is some leeway when we say "paid up member". The rule actually includes members who have failed to pay a renewal subscription over a 2 month period. This gives a generous margin to avoid the the potentially bad karma of shutting off a members access the day after subscription renewal date. However, this generosity can be controlled as, at any time during the two month grace period, the membership secretary can mark the member as not expecting to renew in which case access is immediately withdrawn. This can be done on the members club details in Manage members. This rule applies even if a member's subscription is rescinded by the membership secretary early.
The membership secretary can also disable the key fob entirely (for their club only) with immediate effect simply by resetting the key fob code in Manage members.
If the user unlinks from the club, then this too results in the immediate withdrawal of access to the club. If the user were to relink with the club, then the enabling process must be actioned all over again.
Access control is managed by the fully integrated partner service, Doorflow. The Doorflow management console provides full details and reporting of all access permissions and activity and is the subject of another article. However, it should be noted that any other users may be set up and granted access permissions entirely independently of ManageMyMatch; for example, service personnel, maintenance, cleaning and bar staff.
