Introduction
As a team player for your county leagues, MMM gives you all the tools and views to manage your matches and review your team's progress. Here's a brief summary of things you can do:
Participating
Before the season starts you'll be given an opportunity to apply or register your interest in becoming a team member. If you were in last season, then you'll be automatically nominated for the next one. Look for a prompt in the For my attention panel on the Home Screen. You can also signup in the My events page. Your team captain will more likely be contacting potential team members and they'll be signing players up to their team themselves.
Your squad
Select the Teams menu option and choose your team where you'll immediately be able to see your squad members. You can message them individually, including your captain and any deputies or the whole squad. You can also pay money into the team with the orange Pay button. If you have to leave the squad you can do so with the red Leave button (it's easy to rejoin).
Line-ups
Select the Teams menu option and choose your team and then select the Fixtures tab. You'll see a list of all your team's fixtures for the season. If you know ahead of time which ones you can participate in, then click the check mark for the applicable fixture - that lets your captain know that you intend to be available. You can also uncheck this later if necessary. Checked fixtures will appear in your calendar if you've linked that to MMM.
You'll also be prompted on your Home Screen before each fixture to ask if you are available or not.
The two team captains will create the line up and once they have you'll find a personal match will appear in your My matches page and on your home page. If you've been entered into the line up without having declared your availability you'll get an opportunity to accept (or decline) on your home page as well.
To see the line up you have to locate the fixture and then click the blue down arrow button on the right. You'll find you can remove or add yourself from the line up in the subsequent window as well.
Scoring
You can score your own match after play in the same way you do for any other match in MMM. But your captain may well do this for you and, better still, if the MMM marking app was used to mark your match live, then the score will already be done. Your individual match score automatically rolls up to the team match score.
Standings
You can see the standings from a number of places. For example, on the home page, click the orange review button in the My current events panel. Or you can click the blue Public page button from the My teams page.
The subsequent display should be familiar and you can quickly navigate and drill down for interesting statistics. We suggest playing around with this display for a while to discover what's on offer. The following features are highlighted:
- Standings include Rank and Played-Won-Lost-Drawn statistics on a fixture, match, games and points basis. There is also a graphical representation of the results of the last 5 fixtures. You can click in the column header to sort on any column
- Click on a team and you get that team's fixtures (or choose the Fixtures tab above - which also lets you see a combined list of fixtures for all teams). You'll be able to drill down to see individual matches and their results for any fixture
- Click on the Players tab above to see the ranking of all players, again with sortable P-W-L-D statistics. You'll be able to drill down to see all match results for any particular player from here
