You could be. But it depends on a few things and the club's policy. For example if you booked a court just 5 minutes ago and then cancelled it may be a bit harsh to charge you.
So most clubs will only consider charging when you'd had the court booked out for a while - 6 hours being the norm.
Also if you cancel the court in good time you also may not be charged - 2 days ahead being the norm.
There are a couple of further situations that could mean you are absolved from a cancellation charge:
- If some-one else books the court after you have cancelled it you'll never be charged.
- If there is another court free at exactly the same time (and for the same duration) when you cancel the court, you'll not be charged.
