Yes; In Manage events, Oversight tab. This screen lists key details about all events that are currently active and thus could be exposed to some or all of your members. Here's a summary of the columns presented:
- Stage - click in the header to sort by this column.
- Open - eligible members could sign up
- In preparation - closed to members
- In play - participants engaged
- Events that are Pending, Complete or Archived are not shown.
- Name - The name of the event that should contain the period if applicable. Click in the header to sort by this column. Click on the entry and you get to the screen that allows the club to refine booking rights and set other permissions. There you can, amongst other things:
-
- Limit & price court booking in the name of the event
- Define a pattern of courts (using a courtset) so that an organiser can easily book with one click
- Identify members who can book courts in the name of the event in addition to the organiser
- Set up fee session fee discounts based on product ownership
-
- Type - click in the header to sort by this column
- Individual Box - typically leagues
- Group sessions - group coaching or group get-togethers to which group members can sign up (and potentially be charged)
- Individual sessions - normally, individual coaching
- Team matches - team match bookings to which team members can indicate their availability
- Individual knockout - involves one or more knock out draws
- Individual matches - member organised matches, typically friendlies
- Block sessions - Simple, block bookable sessions by the organiser without any means to record member participation
- State - If the period of the event does not match the stage (e.g. event is "In play", even though the end date of the event has past), then an indication if things are Early or Late is given (and the entry is highlighted in red). Contact the organiser to resolve the discrepancy - either reset the event period or move the event's stage. Click in the header to sort by this column
- Pre-pay - Checked if entry to the event requires pre-payment
- Auto - Checked if the event workflow is automated (i.e. will change stage automatically based on event dates)
- # joiners - number of joiners currently signed up to the event
- Organisers - organisers who manage and control this particular event. If you are one of them, you can click your name and you will be taken to the relevant Manage Events screen.
- Administrators - people who control the "series" - i.e. those who can modify the overall details of the event and who can create each successive event (e.g. league organisers). If you are one of them, you can click your name and you will be taken to the relevant Manage Series screen.
You can ask yourself:
- Am I happy that these are all valid and live activities the club is offering?
- Are there any events highlighted as early or late?
In either case, you contact the organiser and ask them to take appropriate action (or maybe you are the organiser - in which case you can link directly to the appropriate screen)
Affiliates & Event managers
Below the events table is listed all the organisations (affiliates) to which the club belongs. Any of these affiliates can put on events that the club can be party to. So you may find some events listed above that are not specific to the club - county leagues would be one example.
Against each affiliate you can see who are the administrators. These people are called Event Managers in MMM and they have the ability to create entirely new types of events for their affiliate.
For further clarity on event roles mentioned here (Organisers, Administrators and Managers) refer to this article.
