A club official can control court lights remotely by setting their state via the court schedules tab in Manage courts. But it may also be advantageous to provide the means for any individual to switch the court lights when at the club using the kiosk screen. However, permission must be given to such individuals by a club official.
To assign this permission, go to Manage members and open out the details of the member concerned within the members tab. There you'll find a check box under the details section called Full control over court lights from kiosk. Check this and submit the change.
A user so permissioned will now be able to turn any court light on or off at any time, day or night, from the kiosk. To do so they must unlock the kiosk and go to the court schedule page on the kiosk. There will be a panel called Light control that allows the selection or deselection for each court. Each selection button will show red when the court light is switched on.
It should be made clear to those who have this privilege that once the light is switched on it will remain on. They must switch it back off again!
When the light is switched off in this way, it is actually setting the court light back to automatic control. So if there is a booking at the time, the light will remain on (and the button will appear orange as an indication).
This light control capability is also available on the users mobile device if they are at the club and they have allowed ManageMyMatch to know their location.
