MMM can control court heating independently from lighting. A club official may set up similar connectivity details to those needed for light control in the popup court schedule details window (accessible from the Courts tab of Manage club). Having activated heating control for a particular court the following details need to be set:
- OID - the specific "address" that the TCW controller unit is wired to control the heater relay
- IP - the IP address of the TCW controller
- Port - the port number configured to access the TCW controller
- Warm-up time - the number of minutes before the booking starts for when the heater will be switched on
Apart from the above, heater control follows the same configuration as those set for lights, namely:
- "Lights not required during day light hours"
- "Require local confirmation to switch on lights"
- Any "Exclusion zone"
- If "Allow light control by involved parties" is checked, then the toggling of the lights will toggle the heater as well
However, there is no over-ride capability. A club official or a designated user cannot switch the heaters on irrespective of bookings. This is because the potential cost of doing so and then forgetting to switch them off again could be high. Instead, the club is expected to have a physical override arrangement on club premises.
The heaters, therefore are always in "auto" mode and will switch on or off according to bookings. They can, however, be de-activated which will result in the heaters being switched off permanently until re-activated.
