How to manually refund a member's club credit balance

To perform a refund it’s a two step process.

1. You need to pay the money out to the member from the club bank account
2. Afterwards you must also charge the member's balance within MMM to match.

To charge the member's balance in MMM:

1. Go to Manage <your club> and press Members
2. Locate the member and open their details
3. Click the “Transactions” tab
4. Click the “Manually record member charge or refund” button
5. Select “Charge”
6. Choose the reason “Transfer of funds by other means” (as you have paid them by bank transfer)
7. Enter the amount
8. Enter a text reason explaining how the need for this arose

Next to “Transfer of funds by other means” the form tells you what happens to fees:

• If the club manages its own member balances, the platform fee on the amount is refunded - but only for funds credited directly over the past year.
• If MMM holds your members' balances for you, MMM pays the club the amount via Stripe.

If you refunded the member's card from your Stripe dashboard instead of paying them from the bank, choose “Refunded to card using Stripe dashboard”. This option only appears for clubs that pay their own Stripe fees.
