For an event that involves match play, MMM allows for a number of different ways by which to score one game within an individual match. These are presented under the Match configuration panel in Manage series:
- Hand-in/Hand-out to 9 or 10. This is the "old" way to score a squash match where you can only score a point if you are serving and the first to reach 9 rallies won, wins the match - unless the opponent had already reached 8 points in which case the first to reach 10 points wins the game
- Handicap to 15. Typically used for handicap matches where every won rally counts as a point and the winner is the first to reach 15 points.
- No scoring. Games are not scored and thus all matches would be considered a draw
- Point a rally to 6/7/11/13/15/21 - 1 or 2 clear. Any of these indicate a game where every won rally gains a point and the first to the target rally count wins the game. If "2 clear" is chosen, then the game can only be won if the winner is 2 points ahead of their opponent. This may mean the score can extend well beyond the target rally win count - e.g. 18-16 for a "PaR to 11 ,2 clear" scored game
- Tennis championship tie-break. This is equivalent of a "Point a rally to 10, 2 clear"
- Tennis game. Scores a normal tennis game in 15-30-40 (deuce) scoring steps. If a player wins a rally having already achieved 30, they win the game. If it's 40-40 then the winner needs to win 2 consecutive rallies where, having won the first they are announced as "advantage".
- Time limited. This method scores a point for every rally won and goes on for a fixed period of time accumulating points with no limit. When this option is chosen the time for each game can be set in minutes.
Any of the above can also be chosen as the "tie breaker" game if the match scoring allows for a draw in reaching the target number of games won.
