What are court sets?

Court sets are a way of defining a set of booking slots for one, some or all courts on a weekly basis. They do not actually book courts - it's really a means to describe a pattern of court bookings that can then be applied or referred to in other situations.

For example, suppose the club allows its team captains to book courts for team fixtures. There may well be restrictions on which courts are allowed and when. It may be you allow any weekday evening except Monday's from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on just 2 of your courts. A court set would allow you specify this.

Another example would be to define what your peak courts are so that you can price them differently. So if your peak times were for weekday evenings from 5pm to 9pm for all courts a court set could be defined to reflect this.

You set up court sets in the Court sets tab of Manage courts. When you do so you give the set a name so that you can refer to when you need to.

Court sets are used in a number of circumstances as follows:

• When specifying the price of courts in connection with a subscription
• When specifying the scope of courts that can be used for a particular event
• When granting permission to certain club members to block book courts in a controlled manner
• To define a preset, automatic booking pattern for regular events like group coaching sessions
